Vital Breastfeeding Resources The National Women's Law Center's Resource On Breastfeeding Support and Insurance Claims and Denials The National Women’s Law Center has authored an in-depth guide that helps families with drafting an insurance company denial appeal letter. This toolkit is designed for women, advocates, community-based organizations and health care providers to provide information on the coverage of breastfeeding support, supplies, and counseling in the health care law and offer tools to women who encounter problems with this coverage. Center for Breastfeeding Healthy Children Project Healthy Children Project, a non-profit research and educational institution dedicated to improving child health outcomes. Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (ABM): ABM is an organization comprised of medical doctors from around the world. ABM provides education, resources, and a qualified network of experts to advance medical knowledge and practice in breastfeeding and lactation. Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute (CGBI): CGBI emphasizes the role of public health in supporting breastfeeding and provides resources and training to communities and institutions to promote optimal infant and child nutrition. Human Milk Institute (HMI): HMI focuses on the science of human milk and its impact on health. They have a dedicated Milk Analytics Core for research and development related to human milk. University of Rochester Human Milk and Lactation Research Consortium: This consortium brings together researchers and providers from various departments to conduct research on human milk and lactation. National Institutes of Health (NIH): The NIH has several institutes and centers involved in breastfeeding research.
